The University of Kentucky, Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER) anticipates adding a postdoctoral scientist position in the carbon capture and energy areas. The new position will be involved in multidisciplinary studies related to solvent development for post-combustion CO₂ capture. A summary of the position is listed below:

Postdoctoral Scholar The scientist added to this program will be responsible for solvent development and evaluation. Ability to formulate different solvent compositions, evaluate performance for CO₂ capture using mass transfer experiments, and characterize reaction products are critical skills. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution is required. Expertise in organic, physical, or formulations chemistry is preferred.
