Postdoctoral Scholar - Solvent Development for CO2 Capture

The University of Kentucky, Center for Applied Energy Research (CAER) anticipates adding a postdoctoral scientist position in the carbon capture and energy areas. The new position will be involved in multidisciplinary studies related to solvent development for post-combustion CO2 capture. A summary of the position is listed below:

Postdoctoral Scholar The scientist added to this program will be responsible for solvent development and evaluation. Ability to formulate different solvent compositions, evaluate performance for CO2 capture using mass transfer experiments, and characterize reaction products are critical skills. A Ph.D. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering from an accredited institution is required. Expertise in organic, physical, or formulations chemistry is preferred.
