Post-Doctoral Scientist – Spectroscopic Measurements
Ultrafast Systems specializes in the design and fabrication of femtosecond and nanosecond time-resolved spectrometers. Our particular focus is on time-resolved absorption and emission measurements. Position Description:
Ultrafast Systems has an immediate need for a post-doctoral researcher with a Ph.D. in atomic, molecular, optical, or chemical physics, physical chemistry, or related discipline. Ideally, the successful candidate will have done their Ph.D. thesis or post-doctoral (academic or industrial) research in the field of ultrafast spectroscopy. He/she will be involved in the development of novel instrumentation and techniques in the field of time-resolved spectroscopy.
This is your opportunity to join the Ultrafast Systems Team as a Post Doctorial Researcher on a special temporarily assignment for a minimum of 1 year and a maximum of 2 years to further your expertise in time-resolved spectroscopy techniques.
Core responsibilities for this position include:
- Development of advanced time-resolved spectroscopy instrumentation
- Assembly and evaluation of prototype systems
Qualifications:
• Ph.D. in atomic, molecular, optical, or chemical physics, physical chemistry, or a related discipline
• Experience with the acquisition and interpretation of molecular spectra
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Enthusiasm for working in a demanding, collaborative, and exciting technology environment
• Strong work ethic and team player attributes
• Ultrafast Systems will not sponsor work authorization for this position.
