A post-doctoral position is available immediately in the laboratory of Jonathan Shackman at Temple University's Department of Chemistry. The research area of the group is in Analytical and Bioanalytical chemistry, with the post-doctoral project emphasizing trace analysis of biochemicals utilizing microfluidics.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in chemistry, chemical or biomedical engineering, or related field with experience in capillary electrophoresis and microfluidic separations. Experience in spectroscopy and fluorescence detection is also desirable. Highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a research team as well as independently are encouraged to apply. The position is for one year, with possible extension for an additional year.
