A postdoctoral position is available for a highly motivated individual to
develop new methods to extract/separate inhibitory compounds from biomass
hydrolysates for a project supported by the Energy Biosciences Institute.
Qualifications: Ph.D. degree in bio/chemical engineering, organic chemistry,
biochemistry, or a related discipline. The candidate will be expected to learn
new techniques and develop new avenues of research. The successful candidate
should have a strong background in industrial organic chemistry and separation
techniques. The ability to conduct independent research and excellent
communication skills are essential.
