Ried International Corporation currently has an opening for a full-time (Mon-Fri/9am-5pm) Associate Formulator/Research Assistant at our production center in Bohemia, NY (Suffolk County, L.I.)

Job Description/Responsibilities Include:
* We are seeking a creative candidate with a keen interest in personal care/cosmetic product development.
* In this position you will be asked to formulate, reverse engineer, compound and perform quality control tests for new and existing personal care products.
* The Associate Formulator/Research Assistant will also have to perform stability testing as well as supervise pilot compound runs.
* Maintain research and development laboratory equipment and material inventories

Qualifications/Requirements for Position:
* This position requires a BS in Chemistry, or MS in Cosmetic Chemistry or comparable degree and/or experience.
* To apply for this position, the applicant must have general knowledge or experience in general synthesis techniques, strong formulation skills, knowledge of current science and analytical chemistry in a research and development setting.
* The ideal candidate must be flexible and be able to perform other duties. He/She must have knowledge of good laboratory practices and always follows safety practices in all areas of the workplace, as well as a having a strong work ethic.
* Good understanding of Polymer Chemistry preferred.
