The research team U761 Biostructures and Drug-discovery, is
specialized in medicinal chemistry, parallel synthesis, screening and
early-ADME. Our lab at Institut Pasteur de Lille, University Lille2, INSERM,
rated A/A+ by our research institution offers you a dynamic, enthusiastic work
environment. Our laboratory gathers chemists and biologists to design new drugs.
Among team leaders, 4 persons have worked in the pharmaceutical industry and
biotech.
We work with research teams that evidence the role of proteins in
physiopathological processes. Our mission is to design and prepare ligands aimed at modulating the
effect of these proteins in vitro and in vivo. These compounds confirm or infirm the hypothesis and are prototypes of futures drugs. We work
in collaboration with biotechs, pharmas and academic labs.
Our research lab, recognized in its domain, has organized in july 2007, the
43rd International Meeting on Medicinal Chemistry.
The laboratory is eligible to founding by Region Nord-Pas-de-Calais for Oct.
2008. The application should be filled for mid-may 2008.
The candidate should be at the end of a 24-month post-doc outside France. this
position is open to both french and international candidates.
The mission of the candidate will be to design and synthesize molecules, study
the structure-activity relationships characterize pharmacokinetics in the field
of Zinc-metalloproteases.
In particular, the candidate will be in charge of a series of metalloprotease
inhibitors, currently investigated in the laboratory. He/she will have to
analyze the objectives and to propose solutions and participate actively in the
experimental work.
The candidate will use the following techniques and apparatus :
- Solution and Solid phase chemistry
- Chemoinfomatics (pipeline pilot, MOE, Pymol,…)
- Screening platform
- ADME platform
- NMR
- Prep HPLC
- LC-MSMS (triple quadrupole)
- TECAN Genesis
- RADLEYS Carroussels
- Microwave (CEM discovery)
The candidate will have a strong experience in organic chemistry. A plus would
consists in an experience in medicinal chemistry or in enzyme inhibitors design. The candidate will have a strong experience in
multi-step synthesis and/or parallel synthesis (solution phase or solid phase). He/she will be familiar with MS, RMN, 1D, 2D.
A strong knowledge in informatic tools : Excel, ISIS BaseTM, bibliographic
databases (Beilstein, SCiFinder, MyNCBI) is important.
In order to achieve success in the research, the candidate should demonstrate
rigor, creativity, initiative, and excellent team work.
