A postdoctoral position is available beginning approximately Jan 1, 2008, in the School of Chemistry.s femtochemistry research group at North-West University located in Potchefstroom, South Africa. The research project includes modelling of small organic molecules and calculation of their energy profiles and surfaces in order to decompose them using a femtosecond laser system. Qualified applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree before they begin the resrearch in Potchefstroom. A background in femtochemistry or photochemistry is essential and the knowledge of molecular modelling highly recommended.
